The ever expanding Occupy Wall Street movement, with encampments now not only in Lower Manhattan but also in Washington, London and other cities, proves among other things that no matter how instrumental new media have become in spreading protest these days, nothing replaces people taking to the streets.

[PT] Sempre trabalhámos em crise. Baixo custo ou restrições orçamentais sempre fizeram parte do nosso processo de projecto.

Com a crise da dívida pouco mudou. Passámos a trabalhar mais e tivemos de ser mais agressivos, para resistir melhor aos obstáculos impostos a ateliers como o nosso.

Até ao fim do ano terminaremos três obras, um plano de pormenor, um projecto de execução, dois concursos internacionais, um livro, uma exposição e iniciar-se-ão duas novas obras. Durante este mês a nossa equipa irá aumentar.

Costumam dizer-nos que estamos em contra-ciclo. Nós pensamos estar a contra-atacar.

[ENG] Since ateliermob started we have worked in crisis mode. Low-cost and budget constraints have always been part of our design process. With national debt crisis there were not much changes. We started to work more and we had to be more aggressive to resist to all artificial obstacles imposed to the offices as ours.

Until the end of this year we will be finishing three construction sites, one master plan, one building detail project, two international competitions, one book, one exhibition and it will open two new working sites. This month our team will increase.

They use to say we are in counter cycle. We think we are just fighting back.

[PT] Entre 3 e 18 de Novembro realizaremos uma exposição no âmbito do 3º ciclo da Geração Z na Ordem dos Arquitectos. No decorrer destas duas semanas realizaremos cinco acontecimentos artísticos que gostaríamos que fossem registados em vídeo. Procuramos quem tenha interesse, disponibilidade e meios para o fazer.
